atlanta. my cousin just moved there and I've been dying to visit her. it's pretty, it's exciting, it's southern. there's lots of fun things to do, like the huge aquarium with the whale sharks (see cayla's post) and the coca-cola factory. plus we'd have a place to stay and wouldn't have to pay for a hotel or navigate a city on our own.
new orleans. it's been almost two years since I've been there and it's killing me! it's like going to a different country, or spending a week in just new orleans square in disneyland. there's so many things to do and things to see. unfortunately we'd have to find a place to stay and probably love it so much we wouldn't come back.
boston. another one of my favorite places, and where sydney's never been. there's lots of things to see and shopping shopping shopping! it will most likely still be extremely freezing, and plus we all know I probably shouldn't go back to boston for a while anyways.
surprisingly, the cheapest plane tickets are to boston, which is the longest flight. I guess they're probably wondering who would want to go there in the middle of march. I suppose we could always go to chicago as well since my dad will be either moving that week or already there.
nice & chilly. of course, if we find ourselves low on funds we can always just head south of the border.
considering I've never been to mexico, it probably wouldn't be the worst idea, but everyone and their mother will be down there. still, we aren't going to be getting any kind of tan in boston or chicago. which reminds me, I need to make a passport appointment if I want to do anything exciting in my life.
I'm going to continue looking for good vacation spots while drinking some coffee and watching the food network. maybe I need another week off before school starts again.
cheers,
lauren
